2022 Has been Good For Women’s Cricket Team: Smriti Mandhana
Women’s Cricket: After winning the silver medal at the Commonwealth Games, the Indian women’s cricket team is all set to build on the momentum and continue to produce good results. India next face England in three T20Is and three ODIs. The first T20I will be played on September 10 at the Riverside Ground and pre-series opener Smriti Mandhana spoke about how 2022 was really good for the women’s team.
“2022 has been a good year for the women’s cricket team and we look forward to continuing this momentum in the upcoming England tour of India. We are thrilled to have won the silver medal at the Commonwealth Games and will aim to repeat our success in the upcoming series as well,” Mandhana said in an official statement.
The Indian team will continue to rely on their star players Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Harmanpreet Kaur, Sneh Rana and Jhulan Goswami among others on their way to a successful run.
On the other hand, Team England will try to bounce back from their loss against Team India at the Commonwealth Games with Natalie Sciver, Sophie Ecclestone and Katherine Bruntamong others.
The much-anticipated series will once again test the Indian women’s team as they try to beat Team England at home. The entire India tour of England would be telecast on Sony Sports Network.
